What is the relation between history learning and human rights education? Why is it worth the effort to combine the two educational approaches? And how can they work together in practice?
The CHANGE project explores the interrelation of the two educational approaches. The CHANGE concept developed in the course of the project provides a frame for how to capture complementing commonalities of history learning and human rights education.
The results have been published in the Change handbook. The publication features both theoretical reflections as well as methods and practical tools for different groups of education professionals internationally.
The project is a collaboration between the Freie Universität Berlin, Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) and right now | Human Rights Consultancy & Training. The team of editors consists of Professor Martin Lücke (lead), Dr. Felisa Tibbitts, Frank Elbers, Else Engel and Lea Fenner.
The project is funded by the Foundation “Remembrance, Responsibility and Future“, as part of its “Teaching Human Rights” programme.
